Young
Tomahawks Travel To Russia For Victory Cup
The USA Tomahawks Squad participating in the Victory
Cup in Moscow,
will feature many young players in a new look developmental squad.
With games scheduled against Ireland and Russia, the young Tomahawks
squad will face a tough challenge, but team officials are looking
forward to some new faces being given an opportunity.
A number of issues, including work commitments, injury,
and visa
processing have limited the Tomahawks selections. Missing from
the squad are a number of prominent Tomahawks such as Shayne Mains
(injured), Jeff Preston (work), Martin O'Donoghue (work), Matt Astill
(injured), David Faimanifo (work), Ric Dortone (work), Greg Stelutti
(work), Danny Bull (work), Justin Zadnik (work), along with Craig
Wells, Ashley Lanfranchi, JC Rocha who could not get visa clearance
in time.
The Victory Cup is an exciting tournament that will
be a great experience
for the youthful Tomahawks squad, and for many their first opportunity
to play on the international stage. New players joining the squad
are
Rocco Forgione, Hadi Yashruti, Tom Scheinzbach, Ryan Coleman, Matt
Shannon, Adam Dunn, and Mike Mcgeachy.
