The Wolverines weren’t out of it yet as the seesawing affair in the second half continued. Tomahawks Coach Marcus Vassilakopoulos was full of praise for his troops after the match. As he told WeAreRugby “ It was a great effort from our guys tonight, each and every one of them. We had a very inexperienced squad, with at least eleven players either making their debut or playing their first or second match. We look forward to evaluating even more players in the next game to build toward the World Cup”
The slow start to the second half was also a talking point. “ We came out flat in the second half and they put three tries on us.” Despite the lack of focus at times, the Tomahawks Coach was able to identify some positives to come out of the second half. “We were able to hit back with two tries of our own. It was a sensational effort.”
Game two of the Colonial Cup Series between the USA and Canada will take place on September 22nd, at Varsity Stadium in Fairfield, CT.
