RLWCQ's AT CAMPBELL'S FIELD
In three weeks, the American National Rugby League will welcome to the Philadelphia area the national teams of South Africa, and Jamaica to join with the USA Tomahawks in the quest to qualify for the 2013 Rugby League World Cup in England and Wales. In hosting such an exciting international event, the AMNRL has welcomed the support of the City of Philadelphia, the Philadelphia Sports Congress, and the Rugby League International Federation in presenting the Atlantic Region Qualifier in one of the areas most magnificent sporting facilities at Campbell's Field.
Opening its doors in May of 2001, Campbell’s Field has quickly become one of the premier minor league baseball stadiums in the country. Honored as “Ballpark of the Year” in 2003 by Digitalballparks.com, and in 2004 by Baseball America, the home of the Camden Riversharks is a 6,400 seat stadium situated along the Delaware River in Camden, New Jersey. Famous for its unbeatable view of the Benjamin Franklin Bridge and the Philadelphia skyline, Campbell’s Field provides the entire Delaware Valley with family friendly entertainment at an affordable price.
The numerous concourse attractions at Campbell’s Field make it the perfect place to take in a baseball game with the family, and now that same hospitality will be afforded to the rugby fans of the area. The rock climbing wall and bouncing inflatables in the Nesquik Fun Zone are non-stop fun for children, and Campbell’s Field even has its very own carousel.
Campbell’s Field is also a great place to host large parties and business outings. With 20 luxury suites and over 400 club level seats, the ballpark can accommodate groups of all sizes. Executive Suites are ideal for groups up to 25 people, while the Bridge and Skyline suites can accommodate up to 60 guests. If you’re looking for something a little more upscale, the Diamond Café is the ultimate club atmosphere, providing exotic buffet options and full bar service for up to 200 people. And if you’re in the mood for something a little different, try the BBQ Picnic Pavilion - a tented seating area for up to 300 guests, where you can enjoy a 2 hour, all-you-can-eat buffet, from right on top of the action!
Tickets are on sale now. Fans are encouraged to take advantage of the pre game special discounted prices as they will be more expensive at the gate on game day ($15 for adults). The rugby fans of the region are already showing their interest in the tournament with ticket sales moving rapidly for the three game tournament. No doubt the opportunity to see the Jamaican and South African teams for the very first time in the northeast of America is an exciting attraction, along with the chance to cheer on the USA Tomahawks to make history and qualify for their first event Rugby League World Cup.
Don't miss out on the action and excitement at the Rugby League World Cup Qualifiers!
