One of the newest teams to be established in the American National Rugby League has moved a step closer to fruition as it gets set to start competing in 2012.
The Iowa City Crash is one of three new AMNRL franchises slated to make up the Midwest Conference.
The Crash has finalized its playing strip of green, black, and white, as well as a logo.
Meantime, the AMNRL is in the process of setting a schedule for the 2012 Midwest competition and it is expected that the conference will start life as a developmental league much like the Pacific Conference in Hawaii did in 2011.
The new Iowa City club also has plans to form a Junior League for youngsters aged 8-18 to help grow rugby league in the region and mold future Iowa City Crash players.
