The American National Rugby League has confirmed both the title sponsor and venue for the Donnybrook Cup test match between the USA Tomahawks and Ireland Wolfhounds in March.
Harrah’s Casino in Chester, PA, is the presenting sponsor for the game which will be played at Quick Stadium at Widener University.
Chester is within an easy 14 mile drive of Philadelphia and is an ideal location for the match on Saturday, March 17.
The Irish squad is scheduled to arrive in the US on Wednesday, March 14 with both teams to conduct practice sessions the following day before being treated to a city reception and an official welcome at Harrah’s.
The game itself is set for a 1p EST kickoff with the post-match function at Harrah’s highlighted by a performance by Philadelphia's favorite Irish band Blackthorn.
The Tomahawks have a 4-3 overall record against Ireland, although the Wolfhounds will come into the game on the back of their victory last year, a result that broke their three-match skid against the US.
