Vikings

The
addition of the two new clubs to the 2003 season will also be the
relocation of the Wilmington Vikings across the Ben Franklin Bridge
into New Jersey. The club will be managed and led by USA Tomahawks
Team Physician, Doctor Merrick Wetzler, and will be known as the
New Jersey Vikings.
A number
of new players will join the club from Glouster County Community
College to boost the established core of the former Delaware based
club led by Tim Griffiths and Steve Ahern. Doc Wetzler will assume
the role of club CEO and with the support of new manager, Jeff Scroth,
the Vikings will be looking to promote Rugby League in the South
Jersey region, and develop a formidable squad for the 2003 Season.
