2008 AMNRL PLAYOFF BRACKET



The 2008 AMNRL playoff race has been finalized with the unbeaten Aston Bulls finishing the regular season in first place and the also unbeaten New haven Warriors in second position based on points for and against.

The Bulls will be the first seed and the Warriors second seed, which will give them both the first weekend of the playoffs series off and home field advantage in round two.

Seed 1 - Aston Bulls
Seed 2 - New Haven Warriors


The Jacksonville Axemen have secured third place, with the Connecticut Wildcats in fourth. The New York Knights will be seed five and the Washington DC Slayers taking out the final sixth place in the playoff bracket.

Seed 3 - Jacksonville Axemen
Seed 4 - Connecticut Wildcats
Seed 5 - New York Knights
Seed 6 - Washington DC Slayers


The Fairfax Eagles, Philadelphia Fight, Northern Raiders and Bucks County Sharks 2008 seasons have come to an end. Whilst it was a disappointing year for the Sharks as they rebuild with a lot of young talent, the Eagles and Fight have had great seasons in developing the foundation for future success. The Northern Raiders have met a number of challenges but continue to remain committed to developing Rugby League in the area.

Saturday, August 2

(Higher seed at home)

(3) Jacksonville Axemen v (6) Washington DC Slayers
(4) Connecticut Wildcats v (5) New York Knights

(loser to be eliminated)


The Bulls will face the lowest remnaining seed at home in round two, and the Warriors will meet the highest remaining seed at home in round two of the playoff series
