AMERICAN NATIONAL RUGBY LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIP FINAL

TO BE PLAYED AT FORT DIX MILITARY BASE IN NEW JERSEY

 

The American National Rugby League is excited to announce that the 2008 National Championship Final will be played on Saturday, August 23, 2008 at Fort Dix in New Jersey.

The National Championship Final will be the feature event of a festival of rugby league to salute the brave women and men of America’s military.

A full day of entertainment for military personnel, rugby league fans, families, and friends will celebrate:-

  • The AMNRL Cup Final XI which will kickoff at 4pm
  • An AMNRL ALLSTAR Squad taking on the Auckland Metropolitan Police Team from New Zealand at 2pm
  • AMNRL Rugby League ‘EAGLETAG’ Challenge matches at 12pm
  • USA Tomahawks Jersey Presentations to Military Leaders, and War Veterans.
  • Post match celebrations will feature trophy presentations, live band, BBQ, and huge party in the park with all the players, families and supporters

The AMNRL Cup Final X in 2007 was a thrilling contest that was decided in the final minutes with the Connecticut Wildcats defeating the Aston Bulls of Pennsylvania by 22-18 at Hodges Stadium at the University of North Florida in Jacksonville.
