TOMAHAWKS PREPARE TO TAKE ON THE WORLD CHAMPION KANGAROOS AT HISTORIC YANKEE STADIUM IN THE BRONX, NEW YORK.
The AMNRL is working with the New York Sports Commission, the New York Yankees organization, and NYC Parks and Recreation Department to host the Australian Kangaroos and USA Tomahawks in a Rugby League International on Wednesday, December 1 at the famous Yankee Stadium in the Bronx.
Home of the world renowned New York Yankees Baseball Club, Yankee Stadium is both nationally and internationally recognized as a major sporting landmark. The opportunity to present the World Champion Kangaroos at such a venue will be a tremendous boost to the profile of Rugby League in America.
The ARL plan for the Kangaroos to stopover in NYC after the tri series in England between New Zealand, England and the Australians.
Preparations are underway to promote the Tomahawks v Kangaroos match with the support of numerous Australian celebrities and companies based in the USA.
In a symbolic tribute to those lost on 9/11 and in the Bali Bombings, the New York Knights will play the Coogee Dolphins in the Remembrance Cup as a curtain raiser to the international match.
More information about this exciting event, supporters tour packages, and tickets to the match will be available soon.
