WAR AT THE SHORE A BIG HIT WITH FANS AND FOOTBALL

War at the Shore X was a huge celebration of rugby league in the USA and also featured two time Super Bowl Champion and former Pro Bowl Linebacker for the Denver Broncos, John Mobley enjoying the days festivities. A family member of USA International and Aston Bulls Captain Chris Craig, John Mobley has been a regular visitor to Bulls matches in the AMNRL competition.

After spending many years with the champion Broncos, fans at rugby league games have hoped John might slip on some cleats and try his hand at Rugby League and they almost got their wish this past weekend at War at the Shore X in Sea Isle. Luckily for some opposition players the closest John came to playing was with some lucky young fans at the event as they got a chance to see a Super Bowl ring up close and chase around a famous NFL player with a rugby ball in hand.

The AMNRL wants to thank John  for his support of Rugby League in America and for sharing a great day with rugby league fans who enjoyed his company and willingness to spend time with all the families and young kids at the event.

The Aston Bulls are still holding out hope that John might lace up the cleats in their quest for the 2007 championship race.

John is pictured with Noah Niu - son of AMNRL President David Niu, Colin Hickey - son of Aston Bulls player George Hickey, Antonio Pagano - a three time PA State, and two time Mid Atlantic Regional Baseball Champion, and enjoying the evening sunset in Sea Isle getting a few pointers from the boys on how to play rugby league!
