 Fight
record victory over Mantarays

The
Philadelphia Fight have stunned their critics and recorded a fantastic
round one victory over the Media Mantarays, winning 22 16. Despite
being down 10 0 at half time, the Fight powered their way back
to be leading 16 - 10 with three unanswered tries soon after the
break.
Media fought back to bring the game back to being 16 - 16 when Ryan
Blake crossed for his second try around the 65th minute of the match,
but sniffing a chance to secure their first victory in two seasons,
the Fight stepped up a gear and on the 77th minute Marlon Steele
sprinted 60 meters to score the match winner and his second try
for the match.
Mediaš try scorers in the first half to give them to the 10 0
lead were Ryan Blake and Fred Gruhler, whilst Philadelphiašs other
try scorers were Jason Beltzner and Jay Neely.
In a tight match, the Fight stood up and showed that they should
be counted in season 2003. With a blend of new youth coming through
the club, tied in with the likes of Tomahawk captain, Jeff Preston,
the Fight can go far this year.
