Axemen Make FREE offer
to International Visitors

The Jacksonville Axemen Invite all International Visitors to all home games and AMNRL Grand Final with FREE entry.    

On March 16th, 2007 it was announced that The American National Rugby League Grand Final will be held at Hodges Stadium at The University of North Florida hosted by The Jacksonville Axemen.  The AMNRL Grand Final will be Saturday August 25th, 2007 at 5:45pm.  The gates will open at 5pm. 

This will be the first time the National Championship game will be held in Jacksonville.  The city will host to championship game for the 2007 American National Rugby League season.  “We are unbelievably pleased and honored to host the Grand Final game here.  It is an exciting time for Rugby League in Jacksonville.” Said Coach Spinner Howland. 

In an effort to attract international visitors to attend this event and any Axemen home game, General Manager Drew Slover and Coach Howland are inviting any international visitor to enjoy the games for FREE . This is  to encourage those international visitors to add any games as an option to the itinerary of any tour package or holiday plans for those traveling to Florida from overseas.

Any INTERNATIONAL VISITOR will be granted FREE ADMISSION to the Grand Final and to any Jacksonville Axemen Home game by showing a valid non-USA passport at the gate.  This offering is to encourage people to come and experience Rugby League in the USA and also to attract people to the City of Jacksonville.

The Jacksonville Axemen have partnered with the Best Western Hotel on Salisbury Road to offer discounted room rates of $67 per room for those coming to Jacksonville to watch Rugby League.  The Best Western Hotel on Salisbury Road is the official hotel sponsor of the Jacksonville Axemen.  Interested parties may contact Beth Ruzzo at beth.ruzzo@snbhotels.com or by calling (904) 281-0900. 

For the weekend of the National Championship game (Aug 24/25/26) the Jacksonville Axemen have also partnered with the Hampton Golf Clubs and are able to offer ALL visitors to the city of Jacksonville as discounted rate of $41+ tax, which includes greens fee, cart fee and range balls. In addition to the great offers of free admission, discounted golf and accommodations, ALL Rugby League fans are always invited to the post game gathering at Fionn MacCools Irish Restaurant to enjoy a social atmosphere with the players and other fans.
