RUGBY LEAGUE DEVELOPMENT CONTINUES IN CHICAGO

Following on from a successful beach Rugby League event featuring the Chicago Saints Rugby League team in the windy city in 2006, attempts will be made to increase participation and interest in Rugby League in Chicago for 2007. An organization known as "Chicago Rugby League" headed by Englishman Mike Featherstone will be formed to be responsible for Rugby League development in the city in alignment with the AMNRL. The first step in this development will be the start of touch Rugby League sessions to be held in the city's Lincoln Park beginning March 31st and will run every Saturday with an 11am start. It is hoped that these pickup games of touch can be the catalyst for the formation of a small local based League competition.

Interested parties can email organisers at chicagosaints@hotmail.com for further details.
