FIGHT AND MANTARAYS MERGE TO FORM A FORMIDABLE COMBINATION IN PHILADELPHIA
The Philadelphia Fight and Delaware Mantarays have merged to form a formidable squad to challenge for the 2007 National Championship. In exciting news for the AMNRL, club executives from both the Fight and Mantarays decided that the combined drawing power of both clubs as a merged entity would bring a considerable degree of success to the region with the team playing as the Philadelphia Fight and drawing on the player base of a larger area. The Fight will announce their 2007 playing roster shortly with Peter Illfield and Jeff Preston being joined by Dave Divalerio and Fred Gruhler at the helm of the new club. The Fight's new home venue will be the first class facilities at Swarthmore College with team sponsors will be announced shortly.
