Women’s League set to take off In an exciting new development. The AMNRL plan on supporting and developing plans for a Womens Rugby League based in Philadelphia this coming season. The Womens competition will run in conjunction with the Ferrainola Cup and likely feature four teams in its inaugral season, with games being played at the same venues as the mens schedule and at the Jersey Shore Summer League Series. With the success of the Mother's Day Sevens Tournament each year, it is expected that a women's bracket will be added to this years Tournament. With growing interest in Rugby League at all levels in the USA, the development of a Womens competition is further proof that the game of Rugby League is reaching new audiences via programming on Foxsportsworld each week.
