EAGLETAG TOUCHES DOWN
Aston DSC Bulls RLFC an AMNRL to develop Flag Rugby Programs
To support the developing interest in the sport of Rugby League in local areas and across the country, the AMNRL in association with the Aston DSC Bulls will be launching the exciting game of EAGLETAG (Flag Rugby League) in programs for ages from five to seventeen at Northley Middle School Field by Sun Valley High School Football Stadium from May 20 through July 29.

AMNRL 2008 SCHEDULE ANNOUNCED
The AMNRL will kickoff their eleventh season on May 31 with ten teams looking to chase down the defending Connecticut Wildcats who defeated the Aston DSC Bulls 22-18 in a thrilling 2007 Grand Final in Jacksonville, Florida.
Each club is preparing for what should be the most competitive season ever. Check out the 2008 schedule and follow each club at their team website.
ASTON BULLS AND USA TOMAHAWKS TO HOST YOUTH COACHING CAMPS USA
Tomahawks veteran international Jeff Preston will return to the Bulls for season 2008 and in an exciting development is coordinating a major youth rugby initiative to complement the 2008 AMNRL season.
In partnership with David Niu and Mike Camac, Jeff has established TRYLINE RUGBY CAMPS that will feature instruction and education from some of the AMNRL's leading players and coaches. Boys and girls of all ages and skill levels will be able to enjoy an exciting rugby experience through fun activities that will focus on player centred and coach driven programs.
The camps will be scheduled:
June 23 to 27 - Smedley Park, Media, PA
July - TBA in Aston, PA
August 11 to 15 - Dealy Field, Sea Isle, NJ
AMNRL AND BEYOND ENRICHMENTS CONTINUE TO BUILD YOUTH RUGBY LEAGUE PROGRAMS
The American National Rugby League and the New York Knights encourage all rugby league fans to attend Beyond Enrichments and HEVN (Help End Violence Now) Youth Flag Rugby League event at the Australian Bar on 38th and 5th in Manhattan on March 11.
The Youth Flag Rugby League Program (YRL) utilizes a team building curriculum as well as rugby league programs to offer our students an alternative to gang/street life.
The YRL hopes for tremendous support in making this event a fun filled networking opportunity. It will be three hours of Australian food and drink with fun activities geared towards supporting our youth program.

AUSTRALIA DAY CHALLENGE PUTS AMNRL ON WORLD STAGE

The Jacksonville Axemen represented Rugby League in America with style for the Australia Day Challenge between South Sydney and the Leeds Rhinos. All the attention of the Rugby League world focused on the event that featured Russell Crowe's own NRL team in an exhibition match after a ten day training camp. At the invitation of the AMNRL, world renowned sports celebrities Greg Norman and Chris Evert along with former NBS superstar Dennis Rodman, former Michigan NCAAF coach Lloyd Carr, womens world surfing champion Layne Beachley, and boxing trainer Angelo Dundee were in attendance. The match was won by the Leeds Rhinos 26-24 in front of almost 13,000 fans at Hodges Stadium at the University of North Florida, home of the AMNRL Jacksonville Axemen.

The stars of the hit US TV show American Chopper will feature as part of the pre-game entertainment at the Australia Day Challenge match between the South Sydney Rabbitohs and the Leeds Rhinos to be played at Hodges Stadium at University of North Florida in Jacksonville on Australia Day, Saturday 26 January.
